Chesters Plumbing and Bathroom have an awesome opportunity for an Inventory Controller at our sunny Mount Maunganui branch.

This pivotal role is responsible for managing our extensive range of Plumbing and Bathroom product. You may have previous experience in an Inventory controller, stock control, or purchasing role or you may have experience in a plumbing merchant role and feel that you are up for the challenge of managing our back of wall stock.

Day to day, you will perform stock cycle counts. You will accommodate space for new stock and rearrange products based on value, space, consumption and turns creating an efficient operating system.

You will generate regular reports to assist you in managing excess, negative and slow-moving stock. You will create purchase orders and liaise directly with suppliers.

In this role with plenty of variety, you will also assist with receipting and processing inwards goods, trade counter sales and general warehousing duties

To hit the ground running, you will need to be a numbers person. You will enjoy analysing data and trouble shooting. You will be well organised and strong in decision making.

You will display strong attention to detail and have a high degree of accuracy. You will be proficient working with computers including excel and stock control programs.

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will be a natural relationship builder and be comfortable communicating with suppliers, customers, and your team.
