Join a large government organisation and help deliver strategic asset management on a regional level. The Department of Corrections works to make New Zealand a better, safer place and has about 10,000 staff committed to protecting the New Zealand public from those who can cause harm, and to support offenders towards leading a crime-free life.

The Department of Corrections is seeking someone to help implement a strategic asset management plan to ensure the asset portfolio remains up to date with industry developments.

The Technical Adviser Assets will have a regional focus supporting a wide portfolio. In this role you will proactively engage with key stakeholders and the wider asset management team, identifying solutions and opportunities to improve the strategic asset management.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Support the implementation of strategic asset management ensuring it stays up to date with industry developments
  • Proactively engage with key stakeholders
  • Conduct investigations into any issues and provide any recommendations
  • Interpret and communicate performance analysis in a meaningful way to stakeholders
  • Positively contribute and support the Asset Assurance team
  • Key Requirements :

  • Proven experience managing property portfolios through the use of Infrastructure Maintenance Management or ISO55000
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Strong ability to problem solve and assess situations
  • Capable of capturing information and populating structured robust reports
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
