Fonterra’s strength is in the collective

We are a Co-operative created and owned by Aotearoa New Zealand dairy farmers. Our rich history is built on farming families working together to share the natural goodness of our dairy with the world.

Collaboration, innovation, and passion was the cornerstone of our creation and something we continue to value today through our commitment to care for the land, our animals, and every drop of milk.

Our milk creates goodness through nutritious food with safe, quality ingredients that are loved here in New Zealand and around the world.

About the opportunity

Our workplace is evolving and we are looking for someone to join us to help shape and deliver workplace environments that create great experiences.

The office is the hub where people can come to be together, enabling more connection, engagement and productivity, creating spaces and places for teams to thrive.

We want to create workplace environments that support people to bring their whole self to work, help them feel valued and a sense of belonging so that they can give their best and help us deliver our strategy.

As we shift to more hybrid workstyles, we are looking to grow our workplace team to include someone to help us continue our mission to challenge boundaries and innovate, designing workplaces at Fonterra that support healthy people, healthy environment and healthy business.

Our team isn’t big, but it cares, about what we do and about each other. We are all about living our values and being Good Together.

We are a diverse team, with a range of competencies and experiences. We succeed by Feeling and Being Courageous, Connected, Supported, Proud and Inspired.

We take time to wonder what we can do differently if we think outside the box and we hope you like that kind of thinking too.

Our workplace programme is global and our mission is to create right place, right size, right design workplaces.

Key responsibilities will include :

Lead the delivery of the NZ office optimization projects which are part of the Global Workplace Programme.

Manage and effectively engage stakeholders to obtain inputs and insights to deliver right place, right size, right design workplaces that meet our workplace objectives, planning principles and support delivery of our Fonterra Strategy.

Project manage the processes involved in planning, estimating, budgeting, financing, funding, managing, and controlling costs so that the projects can be completed within the approved budget and timeframe.

Provide input into business case writing and proposals in line with Fonterra’s process for Capex projects.

Manage risk including but not limited to risk management planning, identification, analysis, response planning, and risk control.

About you

We are not looking for a specific type of person, we think it may help you succeed if you are either a project manager with a passion for design, or a designer with a skillset in project management as this would complement our capabilities but the main criteria is someone who is passionate about how workplace design can connect and inspire people.

Being a pragmatic and somewhat detailed thinker, with a gets stuff done attitude is also a skill we feel will help us as a team reach our goals.

It’s helpful if you have had previous client side experience of delivering complex office projects, as negotiating and understanding how corporates tick makes life easier for you and us as a team.

In this role, strong people skills, including experience in facilitation will help you succeed.

We are keen to understand what energises you as there is a balance of both practical and soft skills in this role!

Things that will help you succeed in this role :

Solid project management experience delivering workplace projects ideally in a large corporate
