He angitūtanga : The opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Planning & Consents, this is a great opportunity for someone wanting to take the next step. As a highly skilled and experienced Senior Planner, you will manage a broad range of planning and Resource Management Act (RMA) related tasks applicable to Panuku’s areas of ownership and influence.
While largely project-based, this role focuses specifically on the provision of statutory, resource management and planning advice to internal and external stakeholders.
You will have input into Project Plans and Master Plans and management of resource consent applications, whilst preparing and project managing resource consent applications through to completion.
He kōrero mōu : About you
With at least 5 years of proven experience in planning with experience in sustainability, environmental issues, urban design, resource management and development you are best described as an outcome-driven individual who has proven relationship building and stakeholder management skills and ability to influence others.
Adept at planning and consent negotiations, extensive communication, writing and presentations, you have the enviable ability and drive to work on multiple complex projects at the same time.
Your experience working in a complex political stakeholder environment, preferably in the public sector is also desirable.
A planning degree or post-graduate qualification in planning and full membership of the NZPI or eligible for full membership is required, while additional graduate or post-graduate qualifications in a related field (e.
g. urban design, property valuation, surveying, law) is desirable.
