We are looking for a Senior Recruitment Advisor to join our newly established Recruitment Team to work alongside a new team of Recruitment Advisors.

This is an opportunity to work closely with the leaders in our business to :

  • Lead projects which will support the delivery of our strategic priorities through our approach to recruitment
  • Identify and drive ongoing improvements to our recruitment processes
  • Support the development of recruitment tools and training to improve capability of Hiring Managers and Recruitment Advisors across the recruitment process
  • Provide specialist and strategic recruitment advice for Senior / hard to fill roles and high-volume recruitment processes
  • Ensure our leaders are set up to hire diverse talent efficiently and effectively
  • You will report to the Team Leader, Recruitment and form part of our People Operations team. Collectively our focus will be on improving service delivery and ensuring a great experience for our customers and candidates.

    It is an interesting time to join the Ministry of Justice as we lead the transformation of our criminal justice system, help to tackle New Zealand's high levels of family violence and sexual violence, and improve New Zealanders' access to justice.

    The People & Performance group supports staff and managers throughout the lifecycle of their employment with the Ministry of Justice.

    The team provides expertise and tailored advice that ensure our people thrive professionally and are fulfilled in their work.

    We have developed a new operating model and completed a realignment of our teams and work programmes, and from 1 July we will be the People Experience group.

    We are looking for someone who can build effective relationships and has a strategic way of thinking to partner with Leaders throughout the Ministry to build capability, strengthen our employer brand and drive our strategic recruitment work programme.

    To be successful in this role, you will have the following experience :

  • Internal recruitment experience
  • Good understanding of NZ recruitment market
  • Good working knowledge of Application Tracking Systems eg. Springboard
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large recruitment projects
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and highly developed organisational and planning skills
  • A comprehensive understanding of recruitment processes and policies
  • A commitment to building your Māori capability
  • The remuneration band for this role is $71,720 - $93,658 the appointing salary will be based on skills and experience.
