Te whiwhinga mahi The Opportunity
We are looking for a Social Worker with proven clinical competence to join our social work team within Te Pūriri o Te Ora ( Cancer and Blood Services ) at Te Papakāinga Atawhai o Tāmaki ( Auckland City Hospital ).
Working in a permanent, part-time position (16 hours / week), Monday to Friday . As part of the Adult Allied Health team your role will also include :
Work alongside patients diagnosed with cancer or a blood disorder to support meaningful engagement treatment and community services
Provide comprehensive assessment and outcome focused innovative care, applying evidence-based practice, interventions and education within the area of speciality
Contribute positively to projects aimed at improving the holistic care of patients with cancer
Successfully form authentic, strong, meaningful connections with whānau that acknowledges, protects and enhances their mana
Work collaboratively alongside medical, nursing & allied health colleagues. Valuing relationships and maintaining strong networks with all stakeholders
The role is predominantly outpatient based
