What will you be doing?
As a Site Reliability / Software Engineer you will be joining our Core Infrastructure Services team. The team builds great services consumed by teams around the globe.
In addition to designing, building, running, and scaling these systems, the CIS team live and breathe cloud daily and provide technical guidance within Orion Health on how to design for the cloud.
You'll help us embark on new initiatives to reimagine how we build, deploy, and operate our CIS , help us build efficient infrastructure, robust monitoring, and automation to help us sleep soundly at night.
Your key focus will involve learning, designing, building, and delivery of key architectural components of a continuous delivery pipeline, evangelising best-practices in software development with a focus on continuous delivery across build, test, and deployment automation.
You'll also work with software engineers across the globe to advance the state of our deployment automation.
CIS believes in the "build it, run it, own it" mentality, so the successful candidate will participate periodically in an on-call rotation, once you are fully up to speed!
What will you bring to the role?
Defining infrastructure as code using CloudFormation, Terraform, etc. Automating workflows using Ansible, Puppet, etc. Designing and building a CI / CD pipeline.
Running and monitoring critical systems we like Prometheus.
You’ll be well-versed in establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and teams, and able to adapt your communication style dependent on your audience.
Above all, you will be ambitious and keen to learn.
