Trainee Cardiac Sonographer
Waitemata District Health Board is the largest DHB in New Zealand with two acute admitting hospitals at North Shore and Waitakere sites.
The Cardiology Department is working to provide more efficient and effective services to meet the increased demands of the population.
The Echocardiography Department has a full time vacancy for a Trainee Cardiac Sonographer. Entry level into the Trainee Cardiac Sonographer role is successful completion of a Health-
based Science undergraduate degree, or a RN with Cardiology experience, and a proven high level of academic achievement. Candidates must be New Zealand or Australian citizens due to regulatory restrictions to the Australian based Tertiary Institution that offers the post graduate course in Cardiac Ultrasound.
The successful applicant will be someone who is hard working, has shown a commitment for providing excellence in patient care and a drive to succeed professionally.
You will have excellent communication skills, the ability and maturity to work in stressful situations and to be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
