About the opportunity

We are on a transformation journey within Fonterra IT, within both the services that we provide and in the way we provide them.

We have started a multi-year direction of travel that will change the technology ecosystem for the coop across business process, the use of data / insights, and our technology systems.

Our Future Business Systems programme is focused on supporting the cooperative towards our long term aspirations. We are also pivoting to become a team who is focused on great customer experience and business outcomes.

We have recently changed our operating model to drive more efficiency, flexibility and velocity enabled by our people.

Our new operating model includes persistent teams aligned to value streams who own design, build, and run and optimise efficiency through automation.

We like to run our projects and program either Agile, Waterfall or a combination of both, dependant on the type of delivery.

Part of this model includes a Business Enablement Chapter Lead role, reporting into the Chief Technology Officer. As our new Chapter Lead, you will be responsible for consistent ways of working, resource planning, delivering flexibility and aligning standards and best practice across business units.

Key responsibilities will include :

Champion a customer centric and business outcome driven way of working within the IT function.

Matrix management of the Information Technology Managers; the key interfaces between our business and the IT function.

Grow and develop this chapter using your coaching and mentoring skills to build a world class capability ensuring that any development areas are met and that the chapter can grow and learn new skills.

Demonstrate clear backlog of continuous improvement and innovative solutions for the Chapter to enable improved ways of working.

Demand scoping to help inform Chapter Lead resource planning decisions ensuring we have the skills and capacity required to deliver our projects and programs.

Engage in requirements definition for new tools and products which contribute to the IT Value Chain offering

Drive continuous improvement on developing metrics, dashboarding and reporting to track delivery and project value, aligned to business objectives.

You will know what good looks like, know how to build and define capability of business enablement. You will demonstrate thought leadership, be a strong problem solver and you how to develop and drive standard ways of working.

You will be a natural collaborator with a growth mindset and a natural ability to influence. Our ideal candidate will bring strong commercial acumen, alongside significant experience implementing IT strategies and transformational programmes.
