Are you an experienced Project Manager with a strong customer focus and excellent relationship building skills?
We are looking for someone with excellent project management skills and who has an interest in supporting a dedicated operational team.
The Project Manager position sits within the Buildings and Safety team who are responsible for maintaining, protecting, and preserving the physical integrity and longevity of the parliamentary precinct.
The team actively provides a seamless, customer-centric, one-stop property service for building and accommodation matters for Parliamentary Service.
This is a busy yet rewarding role. You will be accountable for owning and managing the successful delivery (by others) of building-related projects to expected project standards, at the approved cost, and to the agreed time frames.
The position requires technical understanding of building services, systems and facilities management issues relating to building and refurbishment projects.
You will oversee projects encompassing a range of disciplines including but not limited to civil and mechanical engineering, electrical and audio visual, construction, refurbishment and furniture.
Critical to the successful delivery of projects is the ability to enable contractors to complete work without unduly disrupting those working on the precinct.
Most buildings on the precinct are Crown heritage buildings and therefore work needs to comply with heritage requirements where applicable.
What you will bring to the role :
The role from time to time maybe tasked with on Precinct move management in the event that large moves need to be planned and coordinated such as post-election.
This is a full-time position.
