We are looking for an Equipment Coordinator who will make significant impact across the organisation by having ownership of equipment performance within New Zealand.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that there is sufficient equipment available in each depot within your assigned geographical scope, while driving down costs wherever possible.

You will build strong internal and external relationships and be responsible for ensuring the high performance of our vendors.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure sufficient equipment is available at each depot for release to satisfy forecasted demand.
  • Arrange transport as required for evacuation / supply.
  • Liaise with depots in assigned geographical scope to ensure that sufficient stock is repaired and made available for our export demand.
  • Work with depots / transport vendors for any variation from the contract for invoiced charges.
  • Monitor M&R (maintenance and repair) performance of the depot such as repair turn time and availability of stock.
  • Continuously monitor & analyses the monthly cost report to find cost reduction opportunities.
  • All additional costs outside the scope of normal operational activity are to be recovered from responsible third parties.
  • We are looking for

  • The ideal candidate is a team player with a commercial mind-set and a proactive approach. You should have a convincing personality, a sense of urgency, drive and be result orientated.
  • You are a proficient communicator and relationship builder with both external and internal stakeholders.

  • Previous work experience within the transport, logistics, supply chain, shipping or freight forwarding industries would hold an advantage.
  • Open to other industries and newly graduates.
  • To be successful, you will also display excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as an ability to converse with people of all levels.
  • You must be well organised, efficient and effective, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Must be eligible to work on a permanent basis in New Zealand.
