Job no : 508506Work type : Permanent - Full-timeLocation : AucklandCategories : Trade ServicesAbout the role : Fulton Hogan has an several opportunities for an ITS Traffic Signals Technician for the Transport Technology and Tunnels Maintenance division within the Auckland Systems Management formally Auckland Motorway Alliance.

The Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining and fault finding on a range of equipment such as CCTV, variable message board, traffic signal equipment, IP networks including Fibre as well as other electrical / electronic equipment used on and around both local road networks and motorway networks.

Main duties will include : Installing, maintaining and fault identification on a variety of electrical and electronic equipment such as CCTV, variable message boards, and vehicle detection systems as well as the fibre network.

Additional training will be provided to successful candidate including a competency assessment.Configuration and bench testing of devices in a workshop environment.

Available to undertake night activities and for the on-call team roster around 1 in 6.Maintain the highest standard of workmanship and Quality assurance.

Provide accurate and detailed documentation back to the office. ie daily job sheets, as-builts drawings and photos via electronic device.

Assist with engineering solutions to rectify faults.Able to understand and work from Network and Electrical drawings.Based out of our Mt Wellington site.

Skills and Experience Required : Electronic Technician or Registered Electrician.Traffic signals experience essentialStreet Lighting experience preferredIP Network Knowledge including fibre optic networking.

Strong understanding of Health and Safety practices.Ideally you will have experience with elevating work platforms. (Training can be provided).

Full class 1 essential, Class 2 advantageous.STMS LV 2 / 3NP preferred but not essential.Can work autonomously but also within small teams as required.

Strong Computer and IT skills / experience.Excellent communication skills. Written and Oral.Strong attention to details and ability to self manage tasks.
