Hauora Tairwhiti is seeking an experienced Physiotherapist preferably with a background in caring for elderly and complex patients, to work as part of a new inter-disciplinary team under the Ara Tiaki Pakeke Service (Healthy Aging Tairawhiti).

This new inter-disciplinary service will work in collaboration with partner organisations to enable older people to receive care centred around their needs.

The service will be committed to maintaining the best possible health and greatest level of independence for older people with avoiding unnecessary hospital stays a key objective.

The Ara Tiaki Pakeke service will promote equity and sensitivity to different cultures and be responsive to the voice of pakeke and whnau.

The successful candidate will be knowledgeable about aged care and passionate about enabling the best possible health and highest standards of care for older people.

Other essential attributes include : A can-do attitude. Ability to lead self and others Ability to engage with different team members, agencies, whanau and patients The post-holder will be an adept communicator able to manage change and thrive in a team environment This role provides an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of older people in Tairwhiti.
