We plan, fund and provide health and disability support services to a population of more than 400,000. We run four hospitals across the district -

Waikato Hospital in Hamilton is one of New Zealand's largest tertiary, teaching hospitals with over 600 inpatient beds and 22 operating theatres.

About our service : Our Radiology Department has well established links into all specialties and sub-specialties and clinical teams across the Waikato District Health Board, including providing imaging support for a Level 1 Major Trauma Centre.
We have state of the art facilities with some equipment being the first of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere. Our capital plan extending out to 2024 / 2025 takes into account every piece of equipment we own and when it needs replacing.
