We are looking for passionate and talented individuals to join a Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship Programme at our Nelson site.
The purpose of the Engineering Apprenticeship Program is to strengthen the Engineering function through the development and upskilling of individuals who have a genuine ambition to have a career within engineering.
KNOWLEDE
To understand the importance of complying with statutory, quality, organisational and health and safety regulations
To understand general engineering mathematical and scientific principles, methods, techniques, graphical expressions, symbols formula and calculations used by engineering technicians
Understanding the structure, properties and characteristics of common materials used
Understanding the typical problems that may arise within your normal work activities and environment
To develop your knowledge of diagnostic methods and techniques used to help solve engineering and manufacturing problems.
To learn and demonstrate your ability to interpret relevant engineering data and documentation to compete your job role
Understanding of why it is important for Refresco to continually review their processes and procedures.
SKILLS
The ability to obtain, check and use the appropriate documentation such as drawings
To always work safely, complying with health, safety and environmental legislation, regulations, and organisational requirements
Undertake the work activity using the correct processes, procedures, and equipment
Dealing promptly and efficiently with engineering problems within the limits of your responsibility using approved diagnostic methods and techniques and report those which cannot be resolved to the appropriate level
Complete all required documentation using the defined recording systems at the appropriate stages of your work activity
Restoring the work area on completion of the activity and were applicable return any resources and consumable to the appropriate location.
