Audiologist - Whakatāne and Tauranga

We have an exciting opportunity for an Audiologist to join our team in one of New Zealand’s top locations : Whakatāne and Tauranga.
The Bay of Plenty DHB Audiology service is expanding, with a focus on developing services in the Eastern Bay of Plenty region.
Our service is currently based at Tauranga Hospital and a Whakatāne-based clinic. The role will be mostly based in the Eastern Bay of Plenty (with travel between sites expected) and is an exciting opportunity to be a part of our team who are committed to developing our service.
We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Audiologist with a commitment to high-quality audiological care to become part of this development.
You will be joining a dynamic and innovative team that puts the patient and their family / whānau at the centre of everything it does.

We are looking for an Audiologist who has excellent interpersonal skills, is able to work independently, has a willingness to learn, and has the ability to work flexibly in a busy team environment, whilst maintaining high standards of care.
As part of the Audiology team, you will mostly working with children to provide expert diagnostic assessment and rehabilitation services.
The service’s current focus is on quality paediatric services including electrophysiological assessments, paediatric diagnostics and habilitation (including Bone Anchored / Conduction Hearing Aids), and diagnostic assessments for ENT clinics.
Our service has close working relationships with Ear Nose and Throat, Paediatrics, Advisor on Deaf Children services, and Newborn Hearing Screening services.
Applicants must have a minimum of a Masters degree in Audiology. Full Membership (Audiologist member) of the New Zealand Audiological Society (NZAS), with Paediatric Certification / s is preferred.
The Bay of Plenty is renowned for its favourable climate, beautiful beaches, native bush reserves, outdoor pursuits - surfing, kayaking, boating, fishing, and tramping.
Both locations are around an hour away from Rotorua, with easy access to Auckland and Hamilton, and, in winter, under 3 hours to the Central Plateau ski fields.
