As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will play a critical part in this development and change process.Reporting to the Commercial Business Partner (who reports to the Commercial Manager -
Sales & Property), this is a key role that forms part of the finance team working with the Facilities, ICT, Corporate, HR and Zero Harm business units to enhance operational performance.
You will be responsible for monthly management Profit and Loss reporting requirements of selected divisions. This will include assisting with the annual financial budget, preparation of month end reports including journal entries, reconciliations, commentary on the variances and divisional reporting, as well as monitoring and following up cost variances.
This role will also include some financial accounting review such as the monitoring of purchase orders, GRIR and accounts receivable aging review.
You will be meeting and working collaboratively with a number of people across the business, and therefore the ability to build strong relationships and be an effective communicator is key.
As this is an assistant role, there will be hands-on mentoring from more experienced team members enabling growth in your career, including support in your study and exams to reach CA status.
You will either be a graduate with some relevant work exposure or have 1 - 2 year's work experience. You will have strong Excel skills and have some SAP experience will be advantageous.
