Ko tā mātou mahi - Our Role

Our high performing and passionate Mangere Project Delivery Team are now looking to welcome a Project Coordinator on a 4 month fixed term basis.

Based at our stunning Hobsonville Point office, you will report to the Project Director and will be responsible for handling a wide range of administrative and diary management tasks.

A key focus of your role will be to support the Project Delivery Team with diary and schedule management, document management, expense claims, meeting coordination, collating, compiling and formatting reports and travel arrangements.

You will also work closely with the wider Kāinga Ora administration team members in coordinating events, meetings and other collaborative projects.

Key to success in this role will be your ability to be proactive, to effectively influence others to facilitate the information / inputs required (for example information for reports), and your ability to deliver in a deadline driven environment.

If you are a high level administrator with an interest in gaining further exposure to project management, this could be a fantastic opportunity for you.

As our ideal candidate you will demonstrate :

  • Comfort in Microsoft Windows, including proficiency in MS Project, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • A proven track record of coordinating complex industry related projects, preferably (but not necessarily) in the construction or property sectors
  • Stakeholder management skills, and ability to build strong working relationships
  • Effective at negotiating and influencing
  • Ability to work independently as well as with multidisciplinary teams
  • An energetic self-starter with a growth mindset
  • An outgoing, friendly and approachable manner
