About the Job

The Wellington region is looking for a number of new Work Brokers. These are effectively roles which promote our employment services and candidate base by establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with business and community organisations, listing vacancies our Job Seeker client base can fill and promoting these candidates to employers.

We have a number of both permanent and fixed term positions available and we are looking for energy, enthusiasm and a commitment to inspire and empower our clients (candidates) by supporting them into meaningful employment.

The number of New Zealanders needing our support due to Covid-19 has increased and as a Work Broker you will be in a position to promote our Job Seekers into employment and to identify and develop new employment opportunities in the Wellington region’s labour market.

About You

You will need to be sales driven to succeed in this role and you will be a person who can champion our Job Seekers by recognising and promoting their skills to employers.

You’ll enjoy hunting down new opportunities and growing existing relationships and you will have a curiosity about the market which helps you build insight for yourself and the wider regional team and which allows you to identify trends and opportunities.

If you’re a competitive person who likes goals and thrives under pressure, you’ll enjoy the ability to use your initiative and find innovative solutions in this role.

To succeed in this position, you will need to :

  • Be able to work with people from diverse backgrounds and at all levels
  • Be persuasive and articulate as well as possessing good written skills
  • Be a great listener and a quick learner
  • Hold a full driver’s licence

  • Full salary range is $71,231 - $87,060 per annum with starting salary likely to be up to $77,000 in line with skills and experience.
