Financial Controller Are you a Financial Controller looking for a truly global role This role is responsible for managing and improving the accounting operations and financial performance for Private Flight Global Ltd We have people using our bestin market software platforms in most every country of the world Private Flight s customers include a broad range of operators including government management and charter companies throughout the world Our goal is to help customers increase internal efficiency improve their business profitability and deliver a great passenger experience Our purpose is to do this in a way that directly and measurably benefits global environmental and social issues We are looking for a resultsdriven Financial Controller to help us thrive during a time of enormous growth This role will suit someone with genuine passion for small to medium sized enterprise who is wellversed in global financial practise and capable of developing strong relationships both internally and externally Key Duties The role will entail managing accounting records evaluating and managing risk ensuring compliance with regulations publishing financial statements overseeing accounting operations mentoring team members analysing financial data monitoring expenditure forecasting revenue coordinating auditing processes and ensuring accuracy of financial information Your will bring your experience organisational skills and exceptional numerical proficiency to bear to streamline our accounting functions and operations maintain sound financial strategies implement sound open to flexible and or parttime work hours for the right candidate Our ideal candidate for the Financial Controller role will have strong analytical and problemsolving skills be highly organized and opportunity to grow with the business this role offers it all Role Responsibilities Financial Reporting Preparation of month and yearend financial reporting packs including profit and loss balance sheet and cashflow statements Monthly Accounts Supporting the production of monthly management accounts including detailed variance analysis against forecast and budgets Strategies to Grow Business Revenue Preparing short and longterm financial forecasts and budget income statements and working alongside the Exec team to produce revenue growth strategies Cost and Margin Management Work with Team Leads across the business to establish and maintain operating budgets in order to manage margin outcomes Managing the Financial Team Managing the financial team currently 5 people This includes supervision over BAU work namely analysing and processing inward and outward payments including forex transactions and managing daily cash flow As well supporting the assistant accountant to reach CA qualification External Relationships Liaison with external partners including financial institutions and accountants on all tax filing audit and compliance requirements Process Improvement Reviewing accounting practises and tools to look for ways to improve internal efficiency quality control across financial operations and cost management Risk Assessment and Mitigation Supporting the business by preparing timely risk assessment and mitigation plans opportunity assessments and financial performance analysis that aid decisionmaking Core competencies and eligibility Strong understanding of the NZ accounting environment and regulatory requirements honed over 10 years in the industry A Financial Accounting Degree is required as well as a CA or CPA qualification Previous experience in a small to medium sized business working as part of the senior leadership team in a similar role Experience mentoring individuals and leading teams Strong communication skills The desire to be hands on in the role and be involved across the whole business New Zealand residency or citizenship
