The Xero Ecosystem team is building the next generation of platform business for Xero. This is a fast growing team creating new initiatives and products.
As part of our mission, our development teams in Auckland are focused on enabling success on the Xero platform by creating a beautiful experience for our app partners.
About the team : We are looking for a Quality Engineer to join us in the Partner Experience team.We ensure applications integrating to Xero have a great experience when becoming partner applications and being listed in the Xero Marketplace.
We also build outbound integrations from Xero to third party systems to provide enhanced capabilities for Xero customers using our marketplace applications.
We work in small, interdisciplinary teams that run in an agile fashion you’ll be talking to product owners, designers, and other teams to help build beautiful products and services for our customers.
You’ll be part of a supportive group of people, who’ll encourage you to learn, grow and share that knowledge with others.
What you’ll be doing : You’ll be working as part of a team of other engineers and a product owner. This will give you opportunities to help define quality from the beginning of feature development, and support the team in reaching those goals.
With the team, you’ll help elevate the quality of the products and features we build for our users. There’s a strong focus on automating testing, so you’ll be contributing to the team’s wider test suites across its various components, ensuring they’re testing the right thing.
The team is good at writing automated tests itself, so you won’t be the sole contributor to them.You’ll be given the time to learn and understand the products that the team supports, as well as creating or updating our internal documentation.
As a member of the team, you’ll be contributing to our processes so that we can improve the quality of our products. This means setting SLO’s to ensure reliability, how we triage issues and incidents as they occur, as well as how we go about testing.
There are also opportunities to support and have input into wider Xero initiatives on quality and testing practices. What you’ll bring with you :
