At Amazon Web Services (AWS), we’re hiring an Enterprise Service Specialist (ESS) that will support the customer segment services team manage the working relationship with large organizations, develop a long-term Professional Services strategy and execute that strategy within those accounts.

The ESS will play a key supporting role in shaping customer proposals, building engagement strategies, and ensuring high quality sales processes in order to accelerate customer outcomes.

The role includes business development, relationship development, sales of Professional Services, and compliance to quality and delivery metrics.

Professional Services engage in a wide variety of projects for customers and partners, providing collective experience from across the AWS customer base and are obsessed about strong success for the customer.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about :

  • Providing customers with business outcomes by building long term relationships, creating innovative solutions and guiding customers through their transformation journeys, with world leading technology
  • Collaboration with AWS field sales, ProServe and Business Operations teams to seek to understand our customer’s needs, their business, how success is defined, and ensure that we are exceeding expectations in pre-sales, delivery and creation of valued solutions.
  • Improving written proposal collateral and quality .
  • Assisting in the creation of Proposals, Statements of Work and driving the approval process.
  • Proactively monitoring performance metrics and driving process improvements to continually raise the bar.
  • Has a keen passion to learn technology and services including infrastructure, business applications, data management, security, application platforms and consumer facing technology.
  • Ability to make decisions guided by policies, procedures, and business plan with limited guidance
  • Business case development, excel formula & macro development skills, and a passion to use the data to tell a story

    Sales Operations and Support

  • Jointly planning customer engagement with the AWS sales team to identify services against a segment, and building a plan to engage those customers
  • Assist the AWS team to meet with assigned clients when needed and perform an initial assessment of a problematic situation
  • Collect information about the client’s business through a variety of methods (shadowing, interviews, surveys, reading reports etc.)
  • Provide support in creating compelling proposals for ProServe products and services
  • Business acumen to develop business cases and supporting financial models under the direction of AWS ProServe team
  • Develop Statements of Work, cost models, raising staffing requests
  • Assist the ProServe practice leaders with lead generation material by undertaking customer and segment research on leading market and technology trends
  • Manage the program plan to track customer initiatives
  • Project Co-ordination

  • Demonstrated ability to work creatively and analytically in meeting customer needs
  • Organizing, attending, and participating in stakeholder meetings
  • Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings
  • Providing administrative support as needed to the ProServe management team

  • Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Enterprise Sales Experience in the technology field
  • Exceptional competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Writing and modifying proposals for presentation to a customer
  • Ownership of sales operations and opportunity management
  • Basic financial and cashflow modelling
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines.
