The Technical Support Engineer reports to the Head of Service Branch New Zealand. S / he is responsible for providing a quality level of electrical and mechanical engineering, technical service, installation and commissioning work for GEA customers with a prompt and efficient after hour’s emergency breakdown response, either through phone or on farm response solution.
Knowledge Skills and Qualifications requirements :
Technical knowledge of milking equipment service and consumables requirements & specifications.
Strong Electrical Background
Experience in refrigeration would be a help
Knowledge in computer networking and fault finding.
Needs knowledge and experience in process and control systems.
Excellent presentation and communication skills required
Ability to develop and sustain a large network of key relationships
Demonstrated proactive planning and organizational skills
Strong drive to achieve expected results
Ability to think and act strategically
Strong focus on accuracy and details
A collaborative team player
Strong computer skills e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Full and current NZ Driver’s License required
