    We need an experienced facilitator to join our team to lead the delivery of psychological wellbeing workshops in the Safety Health and Wellbeing (SHW) programme.

    This established programme of workshops is part of a Statement of Performance Expectation (SPE) and the Lead Facilitator will be responsible for planning and delivering workshops throughout the country to meet the SPE target.

    You will need the sensitivity to navigate an organisation undergoing significant change. With 14,000 personnel, most who work in high risk environments, safety health and wellbeing is fundamental to the successful operation of the organisation.

    You will have a sound background understanding in workplace psychological wellbeing support and significant experience in presenting specialist subject matter and facilitation to a wide range of audiences.

    You will be a well organised, 'can do' person, who is adept in building rapport with workshop participants and fostering a respectful and collaborative environment.

    You will have the experience and maturity to remain unsurprised by whatever feedback, concerns or questions arise during the workshops, and the ability to ensure everyone feels valued for their contribution to the discussions.

    You will report to the Safety, Health and Wellbeing South Island Team Leader and work closely with the Safety, Health and Wellbeing Senior Advisor and SHW Project Coordinator to coordinate and plan workshops, and with co-presenters (when available).

    It is expected you will deliver three to four workshops per week, with evening and weekend work required.

    This role requires the following :

  • Planning and delivering psychological wellbeing workshops throughout Fire and Emergency including employed and volunteer personnel
  • Ensuring that workshops are delivered consistently, are of high quality, are flexible to local needs, and utilise local expertise.
  • Working in collaboration with personnel across Fire and Emergency to meet the SPE target.
  • Someone who is energetic, practical, adaptable and people focused
  • Secondments from within Fire and Emergency or another emergency sector agency will be considered.
