About the role
In your role as Human Resources Advisor, you will be responsible for the day to day operations of the Human Resources function and act as a point of contact to support HODs, Outlet Managers and Supervisors in areas such as Training, Recruitment, H&S, ACC, Disciplinary Procedures, Immigration and any other activities as directed by the Director of Human Resources.
You will assist with driving Global HR initiatives, company vision, values and our Blue Energy’ culture at the hotel.
Duties / responsibilities
Coordinate and maintain all HR initiated programs within the hotel
Manage the online recruitment system Taleo, and assist department heads with recruitment activities including immigration
Facilitate learning and development and induction activities for team members
Assist in determining training requirements and support training initiatives
Prepare all Monthly HR reports as requested by the Regional HR Office
Lead Health & Safety and assist in development and implementing plans, procedures and actions to ensure H&S policy objectives and targets are met
Support Human Resources activities, including work experience program, careers fairs and training materials
Serve as the point of contact for Team Member issues, advising the Human Resources Director as appropriate
Keep current with employment law, human resources policies, and training requirements
Skills / experience :
Previous experience in a Human Resources Advisory role
Ability to facilitate training programs to a Managerial level
Extensive background in team member engagement, recruitment and learning and development activities
Computer literate
Excellent leadership skills and exceptional communication and administration skills
Demonstrated attention to detail, while multi-tasking and delivering work on time
Ability to work productively despite multiple interruptions
Demonstrated trust and confidentiality as a member of the Human Resources Team
A passion and enthusiasm to be part of a winning team
A Degree level qualification or equivalent experience in Human Resources
Demonstrated ability to resolve problems and conflict, and work efficiently under pressure
MUST be eligible to work in New Zealand
