Essential skills

2 to 4+ years’ experience in ground safety operations & hazard analysis

Tertiary qualification in engineering or related science discipline

Experience managing facility safety, and site design and implementation verification

Self-starter ability to gather evidence from different engineering disciplines

Analysis techniques to meet a range of systems safety objectives

Excellent skills in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word and Excel

Able to work in NZ and meet all Rocket Lab security requirements

Desirable

Experience with hazardous systems such as ordnance systems, cryogenic systems, high pressure systems, high voltage systems, highly combustible materials or toxic materials

Experience in operations and safety related to payload integration and preparation for launch

Experience in emergency, incident response and investigation

Understanding of the interaction of safety with environmental and mission assurance functions
