Mō tēnei tūranga About the role
The Senior Manager, Communications Accounts will lead a team to provide enterprise-wide leadership and governance in external communications leadership, planning and delivery.
This role will work closely with the Group’s leadership team to ensure we provide an integrated service across brand, communications and engagement.
This informs and positively influences awareness, understanding, attitudes and perceptions across multiple external audiences and the organisation’s reputation (including trust and confidence).
This role reports to the Group Manager and manages a centre of excellence’ covering the following areas :

We are looking for a senior communications leader with experience working in a large and / or complex organisation. You have worked in a variety of communication leadership roles which require the development and delivery of an organisational external communications strategy (i.
e., involving improving public awareness and / or behavioural change with associated media management and internal communications) as well as a proven track record in the planning and delivery of nationwide and locally targeted activity that is informed by insight.
You enjoy and are experienced in leading a team through change, including developing a fit-for-purpose external comms and media management service model that will support the delivery of integrated solutions across the whole CSE Group.
You will have worked effectively within a political environment and have an excellent understanding of the machinery of government.

About the team
This is a leadership team role within the Communications and Engagement (CSE) Group, reporting to the Group Manager. This Group operates a centralised, partnership model of five teams offering an end-to-end best practice service spanning brand, insight, internal communications and engagement, design, events, print and warehouse management, external communications, media management, Māori and Pacific communications and digital.
This team of experts (and in some cases external partners and suppliers) will work side-by-side within the CSE Group and the broader organisation to co-create cross-functional solutions that achieve our organisation’s strategic priorities.
