As the longest-running agriculturally-based university in the Southern Hemisphere, Lincoln University’s story begins with farming, but it certainly doesn’t end there.

As New Zealand’s economy diversified, so have we. Lincoln University is here to enhance and enrich lives. To grow the knowledge of our students so they can shape a world that benefits from a greater understanding of the relationship between our land, the food produced from it and the ecosystems within it.

With three academic faculties, one teaching division, several research centres and a range of corporate service units, the Lincoln University draws its students from throughout New Zealand and from over 60 countries.

Lincoln University has a student roll of around 3,000 and approximately 700 staff.

The Faculty of Agribusiness and Commerce is looking for vibrant and dynamic team members. Marketing is an important part of our specialised degree programmes, which draw students from New Zealand as well as from the Asia-Pacific region.

This includes a major in the Bachelor of Commerce, contribution to the Bachelor of Agribusiness and Food Marketing, the Masters of Business in Global Management and Marketing, and other undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at the University.

Our programme includes all the typical elements of marketing such as principles, social marketing, consumer behaviour, analytics, experiential / branding, services, product design, promotions / communications, retailing / B2B, and strategy.

We are looking for someone with a PhD in Marketing (or a related area), a sound quantitative background, and proven track record of teaching and research excellence and support to students studying Marketing.

The Faculty has a strong focus on agribusiness so a familiarity with the agribusiness environment or ability to develop capability that will build on the Faculty’s already strong reputation will be an advantage.

Your ability to act as an advocate for the Faculty, and create effective relationships internally and externally, particularly with professional bodies and industry, will ensure your success.

The current Marketing team has a research focus in food marketing, as well as strengths in agribusiness marketing, tourism marketing and services marketing.

Contribution to these research areas will be well regarded.

Lincoln University is ranked in the top 1.4% of universities globally (QS) and has a well-established global reputation.

This could be your opportunity to be part of a dynamic team in a Faculty that has a global reach and aspires to become the leading provider of agribusiness education and research in Australasia.

The Faculty and University are in a period of significant change and the successful candidate will be able to help shape the future of agribusiness education and research.

Please apply online with your CV and cover letter.
