China Construction Bank (New Zealand) Limited (CCBNZ) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CCB Group and governed by a local board.

CCB NZ runs a wholesale and retail banking business, offering integrated and high quality financial services including corporate and commercial loans, home loans, trade finance & FX, Treasury facilities and other financial services for cross-

border transactions for Chinese and New Zealand enterprises.In December 2017, CCB obtained its wholesale banking license to operate in New Zealand as a Branch (New Zealand Branch), creating the New Zealand Banking Group.

The Deputy General Manager will assist the CEO with managing and directing the organisation towards its strategic objectives, based on the CCB’s vision, mission statement and goals.

  • Develop new business opportunities and sustaining valuable relationships with private and public sector stakeholders to ensure the bank’s continuous expansion and business growth;
  • Assess and mitigate principal risks and compliance of the Bank’s business, together with its growth and profitability and ensures that appropriate management and technological systems are in place for delivering the expected services and performance standards;
  • Strategic leadership of CCB’s Branch as per the CEO’s and Board’ s Approval of the Corporate Plan & Compliance to Regulatory Policies and Governance;
  • Financial Management;Strategic Planning , Strategic Thinking, Leadership and Direction;Executive Leadership and People Management;
  • Business Development and Customer Agenda / Value Propositions;Audit, Risk Management & Compliance;Corporate and Social Responsibility.

  • Work experience : Bachelor's or Master’s degree from an international recognized University;Deep understanding of NZ’s local Banking Industry is required;
  • work experience in the Chinese Banking sector advantageous;Minimum 5-years work experience of Executive Leadership in the Financial Services Industry;
  • Proven record of successful business development in Banking or a related industry;Working experience with local and Chinese external regulators is preferred.

  • Skills and Abilities : Professional English (both verbal and written), Mandarin advantageous;Strong banking products knowledge;
  • Knowledge of general finance and budgeting;Understanding of HR;Proven negotiation skills;Professional presentation, appearance and work ethic;
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects;Strong communication knowledge;Excellent written and verbal skills, organizational ability, and interpersonal skills.

  • Certificates : To be decided on Individual case.Other Qualifications : Ability to travel to Mainland China and International is required;
