Supporting Families in Mental Illness’ (SFNZ), has been on the frontline for more than 40 years, bringing high quality and effective services to support the journey to wellness for people whose lives are affected by mental distress.

The registered charity’s members have recently merged to bring a more structured national focus to their services creating a unique opportunity for you to bring the people and the organisation together to lead them into growth.

We’re looking for a creative and strategic influencer who can develop the vision and a plan to bring everyone on the journey including the MOH, DHB’s and organisations working in mental health to raise the profile of SFNZ and the difference a family and social network approach can make for those with lived experience, their families, whanau and communities.

The scope to positively impact mental health in New Zealand is considerable as you apply your growth mindset and political savvy to everything from funding strategies and programme delivery to public relations and stakeholder engagement at both grass roots community and government levels.

  • We’re looking for a proven CEO with a mix of commercial and NFP nous, a strong record in change management and an entrepreneurial, resilient and adaptive approach;
  • someone achievement focused who can move in and out of detail and high-level thinking to solve problems, make timely decisions and move your four regional teams towards success.
