About the role

An opportunity has arisen for a proactive and commercially minded Key Account Manager to join our high-performing Auckland based team.

Your ability to develop strong working relationships with customers will be vital to your success in this role, as this role will be responsible for managing, retaining, and maintaining key accounts for Toll Global Express New Zealand.

In addition to this, the role will involve identifying potential new business opportunities with key accounts and working strategically with these accounts to ensure these opportunities are seized.

You will be committed to exceeding budgeted goals and KPIs. Excellent communication and people skills are required to establish rapport and develop effective relationships both internally and externally.

You will have experience in a Key Account Management role and be able to demonstrate examples of working at a strategic level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage an existing portfolio of major accounts
  • Contribute to the development and management of sales strategies
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Research strategic opportunities to grow key GE NZ customers
  • Ensure budgeted goals and KPIs are met and exceeded
  • Prepare comprehensive management reports weekly
  • Provide readable information for key customers
  • Resolve any customer issues and improve satisfaction
  • Key Skills & Experience

  • 5-10 years of experience in Account Management is essential
  • Experience in the transport and freight industry (preferred)
  • Customer focused attitude
  • Well-honed negotiation, influencing and organisational skills with strong commercial nous
  • A high level of written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, with a sense of urgency, in a fast-paced environment
