About the role :

  • You will be based in our vibrant Auckland, Newmarket office.
  • You will be part of a dynamic team working closely with our local clients to deliver projects whilst enjoying the variety of project work Auckland offers.
  • This is an exciting opportunity for a professional engineer with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects and working collaboratively with our clients delivering locally whilst working with colleagues in remote offices.
  • You will join a team that works on industrial and infrastructure projects, not only locally, but across New Zealand and the wider Asia Pacific region.
  • You will work with our Principal Engineers and Group Managers to support and grow the business.
  • Qualifications

    What you need to bring :

  • Our preferred candidate for this role will have proven technical experience in diverse aspects of Electrical Engineering for infrastructure projects with a strong focus on water.
  • You will be a people person, with exceptional communication skills and the technical understanding in your discipline.
  • You will understand Electrical CAD software requirements.
  • You will be experienced dealing with a range of clients and stakeholders including local authorities, government bodies and commercial companies.
  • You will have strong client facing skills and experience.
  • In this exciting position, your own self-management skills will be as important as your technical and project management ones.
  • You will need to be able to prioritise workloads whilst maintaining strong and trusting working relationships with our clients' and colleague's both locally and across the broader Stantec team.

  • Key requirements are a BE Electrical or equivalent, plus a minimum of 6 years professional experience in the consulting or engineering industry.
