Qualifications
Proven leadership skills and experience in supervising teams
Experience in long- and short-term planning of works on a busy site
Understanding or experience of High Voltage Sub Station maintenance
Must have NZ Electricians License
Must have NZ High Voltage Switching Competencies
Competencies
Ideally 15 years of onsite experience
Experience with substation construction is highly valued
Experience with MV / HV cable reticulation and transmission construction is highly valued
Management of subcontractors in a site-based construction environment
Experience in the construction of Wind farms is beneficial but not mandatory
Experience in doing negotiations with major stakeholders, both clients / contractors
Essential Skills
Strong verbal and written communication / negotiation
Relationship building, both internal and external
Ability to ensure safe and controlled operations within a high-pressure environment
Advanced use of MS Office
Extensive knowledge in construction and commissioning large scale plants
A constructability review of electrical design in a construction environment
Well-developed knowledge of industrial legislation, Australian / NZ standards, site-specific standards and local Laws
Proven ability to provide a mentoring role to improve team members' skills
