About the Role :

The Assistant Category Manager, works with the Category Managers, providing support in ensuring that the business has the goods and services required to service our clients that are the best possible quality, are fit for purpose, reliable and are at the most competitive and relevant price.

Reporting to the Head of Procurement, day to day responsibilities will include assisting Category Managers with sourcing, supplier on-boarding, reporting, supplier SLA monitoring, regulatory compliance monitoring, procurement policy compliance tracking, vendor rebate administration and optimising overall supplier value to the business.

If you have a passion for developing your procurement and category management career, this role will provide the exposure within our business to showcase your skills across multiple levels of management including working closely with Category Managers at a strategic level, all the while getting to work with some of our largest key suppliers and subcontractors.

Skills and Experience :

We are seeking interest from experienced Category, Purchasing or Procurement specialists, preferably tertiary qualified in Business / Commercial related fields or have relevant experience.

To be successful you will have strong analytical skills, be proficient in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills and enjoy providing outstanding customer service while working across functional teams and stakeholder groups.
