About the role
We have a great entry level opportunity for a cleaner to join the team in maintaining the cleanliness of our Care Home in our quaint Orchards Village located in Glenfield.
Very local to the North Shore, The Orchard Village and Care Home requires a great level of care and maintenance to ensure our residents, visitors and staff come to a clean, welcoming environment.
On offer is 30 hours per week which can be made up of days throughout the week. Some flexibility is available.
Some of the great things you will be doing :
Cleaning common areas
Cleaning individual units to a high standard for our residents
Working and interacting with residents and other staff
Maintaining health and safety standards
About you
We are looking Cleaners with great attitudes! We can teach you and develop you towards a career in the right direction whether in the Care Home, Villages or with the Support Office.
This is where you can get you foot in the door. Some things that will support your application include :
Previous cleaning / laundry experience would be beneficial, particularly in a commercial environment
A positive attitude with a willingness to learn will give you a great base
You will be able to work unsupervised as well as being a supportive member of the team.
You will appreciate that you must have empathy for the older person, as well as excellent written and spoken English with the ability to communicate in a clear and considerate fashion.
