A Senior Financial Accountant with Vodafone New Zealand offers value-add accounting and operational advice to commercial business owners organisation-wide;
they also manage and drive best practice governance and compliance with NZ IFRS.
Ko tō mahi what you’ll do
To be successful in the role, the Senior Financial Accountant will :
The role will build a deep end to end understanding of our current process then work to improve accounting accuracy and monthly reporting of Acquisition and Retention costs and associated revenue.
Responsible for revenue & cost accounting specific to the Acquisition and Retention, ensuring accurate and complete month end capture of revenue & costs from different sources, including calculating and posting accounting deferrals and adjustments.
Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
Ensuring that Balance sheet reconciliations are completed for monthly review. Managing risk and actions plans resulting from reviews.
Assisting in timely completion of management reporting.
Providing analysis and commentary over revenue and cost movements each month.
Contact point for external audit.
Liaising with commercial finance and business owners to provide best practice accounting advice
