About the role

Due to internal movement, we are seeking a Software Engineer to join the CAA Information and Technology team. Reporting to the Information and Technology Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for developing and supporting software related projects across the Authority.

Working closely with the Software Delivery Lead and a team of Software Engineers, you’ll be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of our applications.

You will design dashboards and reports for stakeholders, and collaborate with the Business Intelligence team to maintain the data.

As well as this you will be responsible for maintaining and configuring internal databases, and reporting on status, health and proactive maintenance.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for someone who is a supportive colleague who is able to build strong relationships with our stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have experience working with SSRS, Power BI, .NET (Framework and Core), Angular, and SilverStripe to name a few.

To be considered for this role you will have experience :

  • Contribute to the selection of the software development approach for projects
  • Maintain application support processes, and check that all requests for support are dealt with according to agreed procedures
  • Conduct tests of software using supplied test procedures and diagnostic tools.
  • The Authority is implementing change to deliver better regulatory outcomes and safe and secure skies to help New Zealand fly’.
