Right now, we have two opportunities for a Senior Solicitor to join our Corporate Legal Team, which sits within the FMA's broader General Counsel function.
The Corporate Legal team is responsible for the provision of pragmatic, high quality and effective legal advice required by the FMA to achieve its objectives.
The team is highly engaged, vibrant and collaborative, and is based across our Auckland and Wellington offices. The work we do is varied and intellectually challenging, and in this role, you'll collaborate with other Corporate Legal and General Counsel team members on a broad range of legal issues.
It's a fast-paced and rewarding role offering the chance to work at the forefront of New Zealand's financial markets. You'll bring an agile mind, be solutions-focussed, have strong interpersonal and relationship skills, and have a great sense of humour.

This is an in-house legal role with a wide range of responsibilities including -
Ideally you will have 8 years+ financial services experience and regulatory or government experience is also desirable (but not necessary).
You will enjoy thinking through interesting and novel legal issues and your drive, enthusiasm, self-motivation and confidence will contribute to your success in this role.
