    About the team

    Our Technical Training team provides training advice, design, development, delivery, course administration services and NZ power and market system simulation environments for Transpower employees plus compliance and trades training for anyone working on Transpower's assets or in restricted areas from our registered Private Training Enterprise "Grid Skills" https : / / www.

    transpower.co.nz / gridskills which designs and delivers compliance and trade training to the transmission sector.

    About the role

    As our Learning Management Systems Specialist, you'll be responsible for the configuration and data integrity of the learning management and assessment systems.

    You'll deliver a well-functioning workflow and systems experience ensuring internal and external learners nationally, can easily manage their own development, and managers or training approvers can support their staff to do so.

    This is a busy role in a dynamic working environment which will be both super stimulating and require an ability to comfortably shift focus to meet changing demands.

    Even if you don't know anything about the electricity industry, transmission or Transpower before you join you can't help but become fascinated by the complex subject matter.

    You'll manage wide ranging expectations through the provision of timely, positive and informative communication!

    What will you bring?

    At least 3 years' experience as a superuser in LMS system management in any industry sector, which is large enough to incorporate and manage a Learning Management System in-house or you may come from an LMS vendor as the client configuration interface.

    A flexible, collaborative and inquisitive people person, you'll get satisfaction from understanding and configuring systems to improve user experience and system security and take pride in delivering quality outputs.

  • Your application and cover letter will demonstrate;
  • Proven knowledge and experience in administering LMS and assessment systems at 'Super User' level e.g. Cornerstone, Cloud Assess
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse and interpret complex system problems or incidents, identify and understand requirements and develop / deploy successful remedies
  • Well-developed planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives at pace
  • Experience anticipating needs and risks then communicating and taking action to ensure risks are mitigated and processes are completed in a timely manner
  • Innate ability to build relationships, communicate and engage positivity with a wide range of stakeholders
