We have two permanent part time positions based at our Kaikohe Library 20 hours per week, weekend work is required. We are looking for a driven, innovative person who understands the potential of the modern library environment and who can confidently connect with local residents and organizations.

Are you a people person’ who believes in customer service excellence and the value of a truly local library? Do you thrive on challenge, autonomy and ongoing change to ensure the best possible outcomes?
Ideally you will have experience in a customer service situation and some library experience. You will have proven experience with cash handling, intermediate level Microsoft Office skills, and excellent communication practices.
You will have enthusiasm and / or experience in taking children’s and youth activities. You are passionate about and understand Te Ao Maori and may be a Te Reo speaker.
Above all, you’ll be a can-do person who thrives on challenge and wants to help deliver the best library service possible for the people of Kaikohe.
