Tenancy Advisors
Wellington City Council
Wellington CBD, New Zealand
6d ago

The City Housing team provides rental housing to low income families or individuals whose needs are not met by the private sector housing market.

The team is Council's social housing provider, one of New Zealand's largest landlords and also a lead player in the Council's vision of "All Wellingtonians Well Housed."

We're looking for Tenancy Advisors with amazing customer service and relationship management skills who want to make a difference in the community.

Our tenants come from a wide range of backgrounds and some have complex needs. Our focus is on helping them to sustain their tenancy and providing a safe and stable housing environment that allows them to achieve their goals.

No two days are the same for a Tenancy Advisor and you'll need to manage your time well to balance a range of priorities.

A single day could include activities as broad as signing up a new tenant, meeting your tenants at their home, representing City Housing at the Tenancy Tribunal and working with tenant volunteers to lead and run activities and events in our community spaces.

  • This role will suit you if you are;
  • A positive, respectful and cooperative team member
  • Proactive in providing exceptional customer service to a diverse range of tenants
  • Able to build strong relationships with a range of community agencies and support services
  • Enthusiastic about innovation and problem solving
  • Flexible, well organised and accurate
  • Reliable, resilient and enjoy trying new things
  • Agile and prepared to pitch in to get the job done
  • In return this is an opportunity for you to join a diverse and talented group of people! We put people at the heart of everything we do. We also offer;
  • 5 weeks annual leave after 2 years of continuous service for permanent staff
  • Family leave provisions and a generously subsidised kid's school holiday programme
  • Hit apply now to make an application online and / or to view the position description. All applications must be submitted online.

    Applications will close 21 October 2020.
