As a Compliance Officer, you will be part of a team that champions the community's quality of life through :

  • No two days are the same. The roles varied work programme involves education, inspections, monitoring, information gathering, analysis, advice, and legal work;

    You will need excellent interpersonal skills to connect with the diverse range of people we support across Southland. Your self-confidence, diplomacy and sense of humour will serve you well in doing this.

    Although part of a team, you will often be working alone and will need a demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure.

    Although not essential experience in investigations and compliance within a compliance / regulatory environment, farm or dairying systems, or forestry, would be an advantage.

    A proven ability to effectively deal with conflict is required, as is a good understanding of the environmental issues that affect Southland.

    If you are successful you will be police-vetted and, after training, required to participate in an on-call roster.

    An initial offer of remuneration will be made within the range $63,665-$71,155.
