School of PsychologyPalmerston NorthEstablished in 1987 by the School of Psychology, the Turitea Psychology Clinic has consolidated its position as the centre of clinical psychology training for the central North Island and has a reputation as a provider of quality training and supervision of clinical psychology students.

We now have an opportunity for a Registered Clinical Psychologist to join us in a full-time role (1.0FTE) where you be responsible for psychological assessment and treatment with a wide range of clients.

Practices in clinical psychology, neuropsychological assessment and clinical health psychology are at the forefront of developing therapies and are specialisations of the Psychology Clinic.

As a university clinic, we expect practitioners to maintain a developing evidence base of practice and contribute to a scientist-practitioner model.

In addition to further developing your own area of clinical expertise and working clinically with clients, you will supervise Clinical Programme practicum students on placement at the Psychology Clinic and also have the opportunity to provide clinical supervision for any Intern Psychologist(s) within the Psychology Clinic.

The role will involve service and carrying a clinical case-load as the Clinic is funded through our external income stream.

To be successful in appointment to this role you will be a Registered Psychologist with a Clinical Scope of Practice and hold a valid Annual Practising Certificate with at least three years of post-qualification clinical experience and preferably with experience supervising students.

The School of Psychology offers degree programmes to Doctoral level and as part of Massey University's commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi, the School of Psychology incorporates a bi-cultural focus into its programmes and practice.

The employment setting will involve work with people across the lifespan and applicants will be required to comply with the requirements of the Vulnerable Children Act 2014 and the Vulnerable Children (Requirements for Safety Checks of Children's Workers) Regulations 2015.
