Whītiki Maurea is a Māori clinical service within the Waitemata DHB District Mental Health Services Division. We provide clinical care in mental health and addictions with a Mātauranga Māori (values and concepts) approach.
Te Ātea Marino (Alcohol and Drug Team) is now recruiting an AOD Clinician.
Te Ātea Marino offers brief high quality interventions, usually in a group format, to tangata whai i te ora aged 13 upwards.
We can also offer individual and whānau sessions. We like to go beneath the superficial presenting problems to address core issues around identity and connection.
We prefer to use a wānangabased and whānau focussed approach that enables tangata whai i te ora to emerge with enhanced mana and rangitiratanga.
You will be based in Kingsland, but will have the opportunity to work offsite at marae, probation, prison and educational establishments.
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual who works well in a team.
We want to employ a DAPAANZ Registered AOD Clinician, but would be willing to consider other relevant qualifications if you have a history of working with people with addictions.
You will also need to show that you are working towards cultural competence, and have an awareness of the Takarangi Competency Framework.
Clinical and cultural training / supervision will be provided.
