The Fitter Machinist is responsible for the safe and efficient machining and component manufacture, and quality assurance checks of the components they have manufactured, to provide completed components while complying with all legislative and company health and safety policy procedures.
To be successful in this role you will possess the following : A thorough understanding of, and experience with machining and fitting tools and techniques.
Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings.Detailed knowledge in working with common engineering materials, especially stainless steel.
Knowledge of limits, fits and tolerances’Possess the ability to self-manage your own time to meet agreed commitments in full.
Understanding of LEAN manufacturing and quality assurance practicesTechnical and / or Tertiary qualificationExperience in welding stainless steelComputer literate with sound MS Word, Excel skills.
