£28,541 per annum plus benefits ( £29,786 per annum for Senior Technician)

At RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire, Serco has been providing multi-activity and engineering support since 1997. Serco proudly support the RAF and MoD, supplying around 20 different services onsite, from engine and aircraft maintenance, to fuelling and ground control services.

RAF Brize Norton is the largest operating base within the Royal Air Force, providing air transport and air-to-air refuelling to the RAF fleet, and as a Survival Equipment Technician, you’ll contribute enormously to the vital work carried out here.

You’ll also be part of the wider team, with 5,800 service personnel, 1,200 contractors and 300 civil servants on site.

Working within the Serco Survival Equipment and Life Raft team, this role will focus on :

  • The Maintenance, Modification and Rectification of Life rafts and Survival Equipment (SE) for all aircraft supported by all Sqns at RAF Brize Norton and listed units, as per individual equipment support authority policy.
  • Assemble and maintain Survival Equipment Section (SES) equipment to Forward and Depth levels, including both on and off aircraft work.
  • Support of short notice tasking and operational requirements. National Stand By called equipment shall be issued as per the OP Order, examples include, ASRA and ASRA subset assemblies and SAR boxes.
  • What you'll need to do the role :

    As training will be provided, this is an opportunity for someone to join our skilled and dedicated Brize Norton team, in a role where they can develop and learn in a new environment.

    We’re looking for someone who is professional, a strong communicator and must also hold a clean driver’s licence. While Engineering or Mechanical experience would be advantageous, it is not necessarily required.
