Farmers Newmarket is searching for a retail expert to be our next Assistant Store Manager. Working alongside the Operations manager, you'll play a key part within the senior management team, and report directly to the store manager.

As the Assistant Store Manager for Sales and Service, you will be responsible for leading our experienced Sales Managers and our salespeople team.

As an expert we know that you'll bring a wealth of knowledge with you, and we'll match that by providing you with a structured training programme to support you as you learn all about our business and way of operating.

We'll expect you to identify areas and opportunities for improvement, drive a culture of world class customer service through your management team, and take the business forward through expert leadership.

You'll play a key role in setting the direction required to enable great performance, not to mention develop and encourage the same commercial focus in your sales managers.

So what else will you need?

  • Previous experience managing large teams, or in multi-site / cluster management
  • A proven history of driving sales in a one-on-one or consultative sales environment
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to deliver sales training programmes
  • Experience with change management an advantage
  • Great organisational and planning skills, and the ability to prioritise workloads to effectively meet deadlines
  • This role is all about motivating and inspiring your managers and team to provide an outstanding customer journey. Passion and knowledge of fashion, homewares and lifestyle categories are a must.

    You'll have an expert eye for detail, know what is trending in retail, and how to provide an outstanding customer experience through visual merchandising.

    The position is for 80 hours per fortnight and will involve weekend work and flexibility for early starts or late nights as part of the management roster.
