Location : York Street Parnell, Auckland

Salary : $50,000 $54,999

This role is 4 / days a week with a mix of office and work from home hours

About us : Established in 1994, Breast Cancer Foundation NZ, is a not-for-profit, non-government organisation (NGO) that provides breast cancer education and awareness, medical research, training grants, advocacy and supports Kiwis with breast cancer.

Our vision is zero deaths from breast cancer. Currently over 3,300 Kiwis are diagnosed with breast cancer and over 600 die from breast cancer every year.

BCFNZ’s programmes are evidence-based and overseen by its medical advisory committee.

Description of Duties : The role will be responsible for planning and generating well researched, relevant and on brand content across multiple platforms to reach and engage large and diverse audiences.

The position reports to the Digital Marketing Manager and works closely with teams throughout the organisation, including fundraising, research, and education, as well as external vendors, creators, and partners.

The Content Creator will play a critical role in helping the organisation deliver its vision of zero deaths from breast cancer by demonstrating the impacts of advocacy, advancing treatment, how we support patients and the promotion of early detection.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Create engaging visual and written multi-channel content for Breast Cancer Foundation New Zealand’s website, social media platforms, and marketing collateral that tells stories and promotes initiatives.
  • Source and / or create videos, photos, and other assets for projects.
  • Determining which formats to best to communicate various types of content.
  • Maintain knowledge of digital technology and social media trends, media, requirements, and best practices.
  • Conduct keyword research and use SEO guidelines to optimise content.
  • Manage multiple priorities and assignments in an active environment to deliver quality work, on-time and with accuracy.
  • Uploading creative content onto the company’s website.
  • Ensure brand guidelines are upheld across all assets.
  • Measure, report and provide insights based on the performance of published content.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Experience :

  • 1-3 years multimedia content creation and demonstrated strategic thinking.
  • We are not interested in education, we are more interested in seeing your skills and experience.
  • Experience creating content for diverse audiences.
  • Keen with accuracy and proofreading.
  • Strong verbal as well as written communication skills.
  • Experience of digital asset creation, along with photo and video editing software, is considered an asset.
  • Experience with social listening and publishing tools.
  • You have a sharp eye for detail and are willing to take creative risks.
  • Leverage data insights to craft personalised messaging for use in campaigns.
  • Experience with a content management systems.
  • Team working skills to collaborate with various departments and work in alignment with them.
