The primary purpose of
the Sous Chef is to support the Head Chef and / or and be lead the team. You are a leader, trainer and mentor to all Chefs and Kitchen Hands.
A Sous Chef is a senior role with the aim to expand on already strong cookery skills, as well as management skills, so as to one day run the kitchen
Requirements for the role :
A minimum of 3 years experience in a commercial kitchen
Be a leader for Junior Chefs and reliable support for the Head Chef.
Ensure FOH and BOH cohesion at all times
Proven communication skills
Ability to empower team by passing on culinary knowledge and experience
Willingness to be hands-on during key service times weekends and evenings included
Ability to follow and execute Food Safety plan and follow company procedures
High personal standards passed on to entire kitchen team
