Unique regional leadership role to lift environmental, economic and social wellbeing
We are looking for a talented and dynamic Executive Director to set up and lead the next phase of the flagship Waikato Wellbeing Project.
The Project has worked with communities to set SMART wellbeing targets for the region based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Launched by the Prime Minister in February, it's time now to go all out to achieve the targets for a greener, healthier society with higher living standards and wellbeing for all.
This is an extraordinary opportunity for a strategic, results-driven leader to bring communities, iwi, businesses, and governments together to shape a more environmentally sustainable, prosperous and inclusive region.
A partnership and funding agreement has been signed between Waikato Regional Council and WEL Energy Trust to establish and seed fund the support functions required to ensure success.
This is a full-time, two-year fixed term position based initially at the Waikato Regional Council in Hamilton and reporting to the Chief Executive.
